High John the Conqueror

Used in rituals to command power, prosperity and success. Often used in Hoodoo spells or as an amulet that attracts luck. Not to be used for consumption. Instead used to create powerful oils or as a powerful item in a mojo bag for attracting money, success or to enhance sexual vitality.

This root gets its name from High John, the son of an African King who was captured and enslaved. As a slave he served as an inspiration to others because he was never subservient to his slave owner. In fact, he was exceptionally skilled at making a fool of his owner.  He was a very smart and intelligent man who could manipulate his master to his benefit. When he succeeded in gaining freedom from his master, he became a source of inspiration and empowerment to other slaves to rebel and gain their freedom.
