Palo Santo’s spiritual significance has been traced back to the Incas, prominently used in indigenous South American medicine as a sacred incense. Burning it was believed to cleanse a person’s energy field (the area around a person that absorbs and deflects outside emotions and energetic influences) and heal physical ailments. Sustainably sourced from the fallen branches of the mystical trees that grow in Manabí Ecuador on the coast of South America which are related to Frankincense, Myrrh and Copal.
